Faithless

After a journey through quite a bit of snow, the band turned up for breakfast in Nottingham… In the city center, it was relatively snow-free but freezing cold all the same…

Blissy had taken full advantage of the day off and had headed back to London after the Cardiff gig, because Nate was appearing in his first school play…!

As LSK and Stan headed off for a wander around the town, the snow did start to fall…

The first place LSK found was a graffiti shop called Montana, where he and the owner Dilk drooled over a collection of old spray cans from back in the day…

…he had retro Krylon cans and an old Rust-Oleum one too…

Then it was into the pub that adjoins the hotel, to meet Maxi for a very late lunch…

The following day found everyone well rested and raring to go…but after a quick look at the weather forecast and the snow disruptions, there was some concern as to whether Blissy would make it to Nottingham in time for the gig…!

In the dressing room, Jo had purchased a new toy for the boys room…

Soundcheck went ahead without Blissy… A nervous looking Bomber stood in for her as best he could…

LSK had a nap, while Harry read his book…

Maxi was about to do a radio interview by himself, when Blissy turned up with tales of travel hell…

In the girls’ room, Blissy and Sudha were almost ready…

Then Jo called it… and everyone headed to stage…

…as they came out of the warm corridor and passed the open back doors, the freezing cold air provoked a series of screams and expletitives…

After a few minutes to re-adjust behind the stage, there was the all too familiar phrase…

No-one was complaining of feeling cold after a full-on two-hour work-out… and a huge helping of incredible Nottingham energy!

…then it was off to bed…

A supposedly easy daytime drive to Manchester awaited in the morning… but with the prospect of lots more snow, an early start was still necessary.
